Actually this weekend was a complete stay home weekend for both of us..except for grocery shopping on Saturday and watching the film on Sunday evening...
Oh..after the movie..we went to the cutest little place to eat..its just next to the Regal theaters in Dublin, called Mimi's Cafe...a small French styled cafe cum restaurant..simply adorable.
Before you order they serve you their complimentary home baked bread and cake with butter.
The freshly made smell of the bread made me hungrier and the cakes were too good to have just two...so we asked for some more..! :-)
Then we ordered a seafood platter for the both of us. He ordered a beer for himself...and I, a mango mojito, which was good too.
The place had a quaint old world charm about itself and the waiters were good looking and friendly, what else would you want..! :)
Then we ordered dessert, which were three petite mousses, lime, raspeberry and chocolate. It came sprinkled with fresh blueberries and strawberries and cream..and I can say without doubt that it was probably the only thing next best to heaven..!(Well..my loyalty always sides with desserts..so this is absolutely no exception..hence pardon my drama and exaggeration!!)
No, but seriously, it was nice..AP can vouch for that...!
I think the fact that we loved Mimi's cafe was because it did not drill a hole in our pockets...like it always does..whenever we do sometimes find a nice place to eat with a nice ambience. It was pretty reasonable and that almost did it..when the check came..we vowed to be back soon!!
We called a cab and reached home..changed, brushed our teeth and snuggled to bed..thus ending our weekend..But like they say, all's well that ends well..couldn't agree more...!
